Hi, I'm looking for a book for an elderly friend but we don't really know what it is called. There's a huntsman who forms a friendship with a fox: the huntsman has a fall one evening and is discovered dead the next morning with fox hairs on him. The fox had tried to keep him alive by snuggling up to him in the cold. We think it was published about 30 years ago- certainly that's when my friend read it. It may be called The Bellwood Fox- I have searched for this online without any joy at all. Please can someone help, I'd really like to find it for her! |

This is probably "The Ballad of the the Belstone Fox" by David Rook. Sometimes just titled "The Belstone Fox"
