Trying to remember the titles\author of a trilogy about world war III. I read the books in the early eighties. All three were about the war at sea with the first being about a Royal Naval vessel in STANAVFORLANT (Standing Naval Force Atlantic) being attacked by the Soviets.

Can anyone help with titles/author?

Thanks

I think they might be 'Frigate', 'Submarine' and 'Carrier' by John Wingate
